I need a few friends..............
by Outaservice ini was just thinking if i had 365 friends and spent just one day a year visiting each one at their home for meals, staying overnight, etc., i would never have to work!
and seeing them only once a year, they would not get 'sick' of you or be burdened either!
would anyone volunteer to be my friend?

by oompa ini just found out my 67 year old elder/dad has been there too, with his sister who used to live up that way.
it is freaky-deaky weird/scary.
why the hey would jesus pick a weirdo group that thinks pagan egyptian pyramids (who used to enslave and torture gods people) could give the answer to his second coming....pathetic...................oompa

You could have just said "no" the first time….
Some people just love the sound of their own voice…Tut, sigh.. (only kidding)

How do we know animals have always killed each other?
by inkling inok fellow forum people, i really need your help.. i am trying to put together a concise argument that animals have killed and eaten.
each other since the dawn of time.. i need any fossil evidence that any animal before the "flood", or dinosaurs before.
"adam and eve" were indeed carnivorous.. i don't mean obvious stuff like sharp teeth, i mean things like little chomped up.

Mr. Majestic
That is the fossil I was referring to Leolaia. Well done. The angle is not as good as the one in the Geographic though.
That one is more of a plan view and shows clearly the "killing claw".

Is the pyramid his actual grave or is it a monument?
I am just wondering what the grave looking thing is in the proclaimers book, page 64?

There is also very strong evidence that there has been found two dinosaurs that are actually in mid battle when they were buried. It is in a National Geographic (March 2003 page 26-27), and also it was a BBC documentary as well which added the further information about a dinosaur called the Velociraptor.
This dinosaur had what is called the “killing claw” and the claw has been found in the fossilisation of dinosaurs that were herbivores, around the neck area. But the picture that is in the National Geographic explains why this claw was found in the neck of other creatures.
There are links on the internet but I don’t have any to hand. The other dinosaur that it is doing battle with is called a Protoceratops and the find was in Gobi, Mongolia.
The fossil clearly shows the claw to the neck of the other animal.

Will we win EUROVISION this year? May 21st 2008
by Crumpet inthe hopefuls to represent the uk are warbling on the bbc.
disconcerting but amusing to see the audience bastardise the jerry springer call for wogan and now it's terry terry terry.. if we were going to win on attractive luridly dressed girls we're in with a chance - although more cleavage and ass i say.. the second band the revelations are good, but not quite the grand climax i was hoping for.. .

Mr. Majestic
Maybe the reason why European’s hate us is because of how great the bands are that have come from here. The Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, the list is endless.
A whole history of success. Now would you begrudge the Euro’s the "wooden spoon competition".
Surly not.
Bet all the American, Australian, South African, etc, members are thinking, "I thought that the Brits were European?"

Marriage after Armageddon
by nemail ini've been a jw all my life and am thoroughly convinced this is the truth.
but there is one thing that i just don't understand.
many jw's believe that people who get resurrected in the new system will not get married.
-
Mr. Majestic
I understand how you must be feeling nemail. If you are a dedicated JW and happy about the organization then this might not be the site for you. I am sure that there are more JW friendly sites around.
You kinda fell into the "nest of vipers" here. But don’t take what has been said personally. It is the organisation that people are angry with for one reason or another.
Take care, and don’t forget to "make sure of all things".

Glad you’re back nemail. Thanks for the references BTW.
If I could then I would like to answer, as best I can, some of your points.
The first thing is to do with your amazement about people here "talking about Jehovah and his organisation", why it matters to us, and why are we not preaching as COMMANDED.
Most here have been JW’s. A lot have been hurt in their experiences as JW’s. While in the organisation they were not allowed to express how they feel, or to question any doubts they had. Upon leaving they have sought solace with others in similar situations. Don’t see anything wrong with that myself. They will talk about Jehovah and his organisation because it was a big part of their lives. That is why it is going to matter to them.
To wonder about why people are not "going alone" and doing their own preaching work, who knows what everyone is getting up to here, maybe we might be doing just that…?? Who knows, maybe here on JWD is that "format and medium" that Jehovah is using. It is world wide, although no kingdom has really been talked about since I have been on here admittedly…
Just a thing to consider nemail. "Jehovah and his organisation" (Jehovah’s Witnesses) is in the mind of many JW’s, inseparably linked. I think that most would have thought that here at one time as well. But what are we to do when we see evidence that maybe the organisation is not so linked to Jehovah. What do we do if we see that the organisation shows signs that Jehovah isn’t and never was with them? I’m not talking about things that are written on the internet or in "apostate" books. I mean "Their" (the societies) own literature that is being put around the world.
There are lots of things that we could go into, and I hope that you would be up for an open minded, respectful debate, as I would also hope that others here would be respectful to you also. Nothing ever gets anywhere when people get provoked and start accusing like they do sometimes. I can see why people get heated, but points can be made with dignity and respect. The tone of debate would be a large part with you my friend…
I will PM you with some points about the topic matter of this thread and respond to those references you sent.

I think that the question should be "why should you care?".
Apart from "miss world" maybe, it has to be the saddest competition there is.
Do we dare ask what "grand climax" you are hoping for..???
